Certification Many members have been recepients of the PHR or SPHR designation awarded by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). For more information on certification, please visit SHRM's certification institute website here. The Management Association of Illinois also offers a 10-week course in preparing for the certification exam. Certification Scholarship Program The Certification Scholarship Program was developed to encourage our members to seek professional certification (PHR or SPHR) by removing or reducing financial barriers that would impede their quest for certification. It is administered by the Education & Certification Committee. The scholarship awards are $300 for the SPHR level and $250 for the PHR level.
